Lucy has us all wrapped around her tiny finger!

Lucy is definitely the most mellow baby this family has ever seen. She's a great nurser and sleeps well. She is very alert and of course there is always a lot for her to look at and listen to. Jonah, Isaac and Daniel are all quite taken with her and she gets MANY kisses on the head.

It was more peaceful in the womb!

She's Here!

At 3:08pm on November 4th, Lucy Carolyn Turner was born: 7 lbs 5 oz and 19 inches long! Yea! She came out pink and crying and perfect. My parents arrived at the hospital from St. Louis just before she was born.

November 4th, 2008

Well, our baby was due on October 30 but it was no suprise to anyone that she didn't come on that day. My doctors wanted to induce me earlier but I wanted to wait just a bit since all of my kids have been overdue. We agreed on election day! It was so strange to wake up that morning and know the baby was coming. I was really nervous b/c I had heard so many negative induction stories. It didn't help that they wouldn't let me eat and I was STARVING! Long story short... everything went smoothly. I was induced at 6:30am. Things got rough around 10am and by 11:30 I asked for demerol. The nurse told me I would feel like I'd had a couple of margaritas. Okay, if that's what margaritas do to you then I'm glad I don't drink. I was seriously hallucinating but it didn't take the pain away- it just made it so that I couldn't think straight and breathe through the contractions. Arghh! After an hour of that I asked for an epidural and the relief was immediate. Yea!! Two hours later, I was ready to push and felt up to it b/c I'd been napping :) In three pushes she was out! (Sorry, that wasn't short)

Halloween

This year I was a little crabby at Halloween since baby was overdue. But we actually had a really nice time. Most of our neighbors ordered pizza and brought it over to our driveway. We ate and took pics of the kids. Then the Dads took the kids trick or treating while the moms stayed back to hand out candy. The weather was perfect and the boys had a ball (candy, candy and more candy).

Baby Shower!

My friends Melissa and Carolyn threw me such a great baby shower. Melissa made this fabulous cake- beautiful and delicious! Then we had the girliest get together with more pink than I've ever seen!

Doctor appointments galore!

This month I have had so many appointments to go to and sometimes I've had to bring all three boys. It's crazy. At this one, Jonah was so sweet and offered to read to Isaac and Daniel. He is such a great big brother and a great example for his brothers. I know baby girl Turner will be in good hands. :)

We been in Texas too long

Self explanatory

Lunch with Isaac

I got to have lunch at Isaac's school the other day. It was so fun to just hang out with him. He is loving Kindergarten and his teacher says he is an angel. I was really worried about K in Texas b/c it is full day but so far it is going well.

Daniel's sensory Day at Preschool

Daniel's school is so great. A couple of weeks ago they had "Sensory Day" which means they fill up a bunch of pools with shaving cream, jello, ice or water. The kids had a blast. The teacher is his beloved "Miss Peggy"
